Patricia Zuluaga

Pharmacist and MSc candidate in Pharmacology at the National University of Colombia, with over 15 years of experience in pharmacovigilance and patient safety. She is a certified expert in Patient Safety and Healthcare Quality Improvement (IECS, Argentina).

She currently serves as a Regional Specialist at the Uppsala Monitoring Centre (UMC), focusing on strengthening pharmacovigilance capacity across Latin America, particularly in the implementation and use of WHODrug. She has led initiatives at both national and regional levels, serving as former President of the Colombian Association of Pharmacovigilance and former President of the Latin American Chapter of the International Society of Pharmacovigilance (ISoP).

Her experience integrates clinical practice, teaching, technical advisory for national and international organizations, and participation in research ethics committees, with a focus on safe medication use and healthcare quality improvement.
